Water Treatment Environmental Protection and Technology

Bio-membrane contact filter media

Product overview

The bio-membrane contact filter media are immersed in wastewater in the aeration tank, which is fully aerated in the tank, causing inflow wastewater to be fully mixed and circulated and in the meantime to be exposed to the contact filter media. After a period, the surface of the contact filter media will begin to grow and attach a bio-film with biological sludge (microorganisms). With the bio-film, the organic substance in wastewater will be absorbed and oxidized in the aerobic condition.

Product benefits

  • 1.No adjustment of the MLSS concentration and no return of sludge are required, convenient for operation and maintenance.
  • 2.Able to withstand variance of BOD load, obtaining stable treated water.
  • 3.Able to maintain large amount of biological sludge, and large unite wastewater treatment.
  • 4.No sludge expansion problem.
  • 5.Less residual sludge because of rich biological phase, more complete food chain to facilitate reduction of sludge amount.
  • 6.Has both aerobic and anaerobic effects. An anaerobic biological layer is formed under
the aerobic biological layer, achieving the denitration effect.
