Round quick settling tank Square quick settling tank

Settling tank description

After the feed box, wastewater enters the whole inclined plate from small holes distributed along the side of the inclined plate. When passing through the inclined plate set, suspended solids are separated from water and drop to the bottom of the collection area. The clarified liquid will flow upward to the top and flow out from the spill channel. Sludge is delivered to the bottom by the sludge scraper. It is then discharged with the pneumatic valve and controlled by a timer.

Benefits of the inclined tube (plate)

Increasing the settling capability

For the H deep settling tank as shown in Figure A, the particles on the water surface will require an H distance for settlement. If an inclined tube is installed in the tank as shown in Figure B, the particles on the water surface will only require h distance for settlement, shortening settlement time by h/H times and increasing the settlement area, equivalent to increasing the settlement capability by h/H times.

Secondary coagulation and flow regulation effect

The inclined tubes also have secondary coagulation and flow regulation effects. When fluid flow upwards and sludge slides downward, a slow agitating flow is created inside the inclined tubes. Small flocs that are suspended in water and are difficult to be settled will become larger flocs to be settled after being collided with each other.

Product features

1.Reducing several times of area required by a settling tank, only 10% footprint of a traditional type, featuring low cost high performance, obtaining a good settlement effect.
2.Since it is smaller, it has a lower building cost.
3.Suitable for any sludge collecting facility, it can be installed for any type of settling tank.
4.High solid removal efficiency.
5.Due to flow regulating and secondary coagulation effects, flocs that are difficult to be settled are truly captured.
6.For an H deep settling tank, the particles on the water surface will require an H distance for settlement. If an inclined isolation plate is installed, the settling tank with the same depth will only require h distance for settlement, shortening settlement time by h/H times.
